ABOUT US
Wayne Adams, Senior Partner for Advertising & Public Relations

For the last 30 years, Wayne has contributed to external and internal communications successes in finance and insurance, high technology, waste management, and advertising that have actively supported corporate growth goals. Wayne has proven public relations and marketing communications skill sets and has combined strategic business thinking and creative message packaging for Fortune 500, mid-market and start-up companies in both B2B and consumer arenas.

Wayne directed international communications and public affairs for CIGNA Corporation and was responsible for conducting multinational public relations and marketing communications programs for the company’s European, Latin American and Asia Pacific businesses. He initiated a public and government relations-based campaign to build CIGNA’s business and cultural image in China, which led to its license to enter the country’s insurance market. In 2003, he received a team Silver Anvil Award, the Public Relations Society of America’s highest honor, for excellence in institutional communications programs.

He also drove an award-winning news media outreach campaign for WESTON, a waste management company, that increased company visibility by more than 250 percent among its key publics. In addition, during the Internet’s early commercial evolution, he pioneered its WEB site as a brand-building link to its primary business markets.

In Southern California, Wayne established an advanced technology office for Hill and Knowlton’s public relations agency operations, providing strategic business communications counsel and marketing support to start-up and mid-size computer-related clients. For Alpha Microsystems, he initiated a highly visible, high-return introduction of Ver-a-Tel, an advance biometric computer security system. Additionally, he drove internal and external communications for Quotron, a leading high-tech financial company, including a 24-city satellite feed that announced the divestiture of a third of its business.

Wayne planned and directed strategic and creative communications agendas for UNISYS Corporation. His responsibilities included high-profile news conferences and product launches, executive leadership platforms, marketing and sales literature, and crisis communications. Notably, he helped introduce the newly formed UNISYS brand to news, customer, industry consultant and financial communities, building the company’s visibility as a technology innovator and major industry player in the commercial computer marketplace. Earlier, he initiated an industry-infrastructure communications program to strategically reposition UNISYS predecessor company, SPERRY, as the pioneer of an emerging systems integration market.

Wayne received a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts in mass communications from Temple University.
